The Honda VF500F 2 was a v4, four-stroke Sport touring motorcycle produced by Honda between 1984 and 1987. It could reach a top speed of 128 mph (206 km/h). Max torque was 30.98 ft/lbs (42.0 Nm) @ 10500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 68.53 HP (51.1 KW) @ 11500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled v4, four-stroke. A 60.0mm bore x 44.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 497.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90-16 front tire and a 110/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Air assisted 37mm forks while the rear was equipped with a Pro-link air assisted 4-way adjustable rebound damping. The VF500F 2 was fitted with a 4.49 Gallon (17.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.
