The bike has a 4-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multi-disc.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a drum in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a dual shocks. The Planeta 5 ( 7.107) was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 357.15 pounds (162.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.09 inches (1450 mm) long.

The IZH Planeta 5 is a sturdy and robust machine, designed for riders who want a dependable daily commuter, and can just as well be used as an entry-level machine. At its heart lies an air-cooled, two-stroke, 346cc, single cylinder engine paired to a four-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 22 horsepower and 28 Nm of torque. Its engine has been designed for an even power output at low revs, making it perfect for urban environments. Standard features include a front disc brake, a telescopic front fork, dual shocks as a rear suspension, a dual seat and a rear luggage rack.
