The Indian SCOUT was a Liquid Cooled V-Twin Cruiser motorcycle produced by Indian between 2002 and 2017. Max torque was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 5900 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 100.04 HP (74.6 KW) @ 5200 RPM.

A 61.0mm bore x 61.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1130.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a Gears transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multidisc.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 130/90-16 72H front tire and a 150/80-16 71H rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc, 298 mm Rotor, 2 Piston Caliper in the front and a Single disc, 298 mm Rotor, 1 Piston Caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Dual Shocks. The wheelbase was 61.5 inches (1562 mm) long.

The 2002 MY Indian Scout sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 1442cc, V-Twin powerhouse paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 75 horsepower at 5200 rpm. This is one of the most basic models from the American brand, and is suitable for those riders who like to add a more personal touch to their power cruiser.

Standard features include a 41mm telescopic fork, an adjustable monoshock as a rear suspension, laced wheels, a blacked-out frame, a dual seat, a chromed, dual pea-shooter exhaust, front and rear disc brakes, forward-mounted foot controls, and a tank-mounted instrumentation panel.

The 2017 Indian ScoutIt is equipped with a modern lightweight chassis. A lower center of gravity. And a liquid-cooled 100-horsepower V-Twin that opens up and never stops. This model has a Cast Aluminum frame and a suspension telescopic fork 4.7 in (120 mm) at front, Dual Shocks 3.0 in (76 mm) at rear. Add the Slip On Exhaust for more power, better throttle response and rich, throaty exhaust notes that are sure to command attention.
