The KTM 1190 ADVENTURE was a V2, four-stroke, liquid-cooled Road motorcycle produced by KTM in 2016. Max torque was 67.86 ft/lbs (92.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 150.06 HP (111.9 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

A 104.1mm bore x 104.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1195.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate, slipper clutch, hydraulically actuated.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 150/70-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x Brembo four-piston radial fixed calliper, brake discs, floating in the front and a Brembo twin-piston fixed calliper, brake disc in the rear. The front suspension was a WP-EDS USD while the rear was equipped with a WP-EDS Monoshock. The wheelbase was 61.42 inches (1560 mm) long.

This bike incorporates a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 1,195cc, DOHC, V-twin engine. It still uses a carburetor, so cold starts will be more difficult than on fuel-injected models. A cylinder bore and stroke of 105 x 69 mm makes this motor oversquare: the bore (width) of the cylinder is greater than its stroke (length). Oversquare engines excel at revving high and producing a lot of power for their displacement, at the expense of low-end torque.
