The engine was a Liquid cooling cooled Four stroke, 75°V-twin cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. The engine featured a 13.2:1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the PASC slipper clutch, hydraulically operated.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70ZR-17 Dunlop Sportmax Sportsmart2 front tire and a 190/55ZR-17 Dunlop Sportmax Sportsmart2 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x Brembo 320mm 4 piston calipers in the front and a Single Brembo 2 piston calipers in the rear. The front suspension was a WP-USD Ø 48 mm while the rear was equipped with a WP-Monoshock. The 1290 Super Duke R Patriot Edition was fitted with a 18 Liters / 4.75 gal Unleaded premium fuel (95 RON) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 189 kg / 416.7 lbs.
