The KTM 500 MX was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by KTM in 1990. Max torque was 59.01 ft/lbs (80.0 Nm) @ 2000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 63.56 HP (47.4 KW) @ 5900 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 89.0mm bore x 80.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 498.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the wet 9 plates.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The 500 MX was fitted with a 3.2 Gallon (12.11 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 227.08 pounds (103.0 Kg).
