The KTM 990 SuperDuke R was a liquid-cooled, four stroke, V-twin cylinder, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by KTM in 2008. Max torque was 73.76 ft/lbs (100.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 120.02 HP (89.5 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

A 101.6mm bore x 101.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 999.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR 17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR 17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 240mm disc, 1-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a 48mm WP upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a WP monoshock, fully adjustable. The 990 SuperDuke R was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 56.61 inches (1438 mm) long.

The 2007 KTM 990 SuperDuke R can be considered the flagship from the House of Mattighofen, and is one of the most sought-after two-wheelers in its class. It sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 999cc, single cylinder powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission, and can reach a maximum power output of 120 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque.

It also boasts a 48mm WP upside-down telescopic fork, a fully-adjustable WP monoshock as a rear suspension, a modern, chromium-molybdenum trellis frame, a digital instrumentation panel, a Brembo braking system with dual, 320mm discs, plus lightweight, cast-aluminum wheels.
