The KTM 625 SMC was a Single cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled Enduro motorcycle produced by KTM between 2004 and 2007. Max torque was 33.19 ft/lbs (45.0 Nm) @ 3500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 32.99 HP (24.6 KW) @ 6000 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled Single cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid cooled. A 101.6mm bore x 101.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 625.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead cams (ohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 3- transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multidisc, operated hydraulically.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 160/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Brembo 4-piston, Fixed Caliper, Brake Disc Ø 320mm in the front and a Brembo Single piston, Floating Caliper, Brake Disc Ø 220 Mm in the rear. The front suspension was a WP USD 48 Mm while the rear was equipped with a WP PDS Suspension Strut With Hydr. Spring Preload. The 625 SMC was fitted with a 2.43 Gallon (9.20 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 321.87 pounds (146.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 59.41 inches (1509 mm) long.
2007 KTM 625 SMC[edit | edit source]
The KTM 625 SMC's SOHC, liquid-cooled single is broadly the same lump that powers the 640 LC4, only minus the latter’s balancer shaft and with a lighter flywheel and 41mm carburetor. This translates into a vibey, revy, ride and one that misses out on some of the LC4’s torque. This little sister to the 640 Supermoto is damned sporty drifting into the corners.
