The KTM 505 SX was a single cylinder, four-stroke standard produced by KTM between 2007 and 2013.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 100.0mm bore x 60.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 477.5 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc clutch / hydraulically operated.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 21/7-10 front tire and a 20/11-9 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a independent wheels suspension with double wishbone while the rear was equipped with a rigid axle. The 505 SX was fitted with a 3.54 Gallon (13.40 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 363.76 pounds (165.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 50.39 inches (1280 mm) long.
