The Kawasaki EJ650A W650 was a twin, four-stroke Naked motorcycle produced by Kawasaki between 1999 and 2001. It could reach a top speed of 111 mph (178 km/h). Max torque was 41.31 ft/lbs (56.0 Nm) @ 5500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 49.89 HP (37.2 KW) @ 7000 RPM. It was inspired by the classic Triumph Bonneville.

Engine[edit]

The engine was a air cooled twin, four-stroke. A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 675.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).

Drive[edit]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 130/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a 39 mm telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a Twin shocks with spring preload adjustability. The W650 was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 429.9 pounds (195.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 57.28 inches (1455 mm) long.

Born in 1999, the W 650 is a bike inspired by the original Triumph Bonneville. Just like the machine manufactured in the 60's, the Japanese "beast" has a twin cylinder engine of 650cc.
