The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, 2 Valve per cylinder.. The engine featured a 9.5:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90-19 front tire and a 110/90-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 236mm disc in the front and a Single 140mm drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Swing arm. The GPz400 was fitted with a 15 Liters / 3.9 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 179 kg / 394.6 lbs.
