Engine[edit]

The engine was a Air cooled cooled Two stroke, single cylinder, reed valve. The engine featured a 8.2:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 5.10-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Mono Shock. The KDX250 was fitted with a 12.5 Liters / 3.3 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 111 kg / 245 lbs. The wheelbase was 1475 mm / 58.0 in long.
