The bike has a 5 Speed transmission.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.50-19 front tire and a 4.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x298mm Discs in the front and a Single 298mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks preload adjustable.

Manufactured for approximately one year, between 1977 and 1978, Kawasaki limited the production of the Z1R motorcycle to only 500 unites.
