It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 190/50-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x310 mm discs in the front and a Single 220mm disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Cartridge forks while the rear was equipped with a Bottom-link Uni-Trak rising rate monoshock. The ZX-9R Ninja was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank.
