The Laverda 500 Zeta was a air-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin cylinders, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, 180-degree crankshaft Naked motorcycle produced by Laverda in 1978. Claimed horsepower was 37.01 HP (27.6 KW) @ 8500 RPM.

A 71.1mm bore x 71.1mm stroke result in a displacement of just 497.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 90/90 S18 front tire and a 110/90 H18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 260mm discs 2 piston calipers in the front and a single 260mm disc 1 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a swinging arm fork, adjustable Marzocchi shock absorbers. The 500 Zeta was fitted with a 1.06 Gallon (4.00 Liters) fuel tank.

The 1978 MY Laverda 500 Zeta sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 497cc, parallel twin cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce 37 horsepower at 8500 rpm. It is a powerful yet agile half-liter naked roadster, that is equally suited for fast passes on the motorway, as well as weekend leisure rides through the countryside or daily commuting to and from work. It boasts increased comfort thanks to its Marzocchi suspension package and increased safety due to the Brembo braking discs.
