The Laverda 750 Ghost Strike was a liquid cooled, four stroke, parallel twin, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by Laverda between 1996 and 1999. It could reach a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). Max torque was 55.32 ft/lbs (75.0 Nm) @ 7200 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 85.02 HP (63.4 KW) @ 9200 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled liquid cooled, four stroke, parallel twin, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder. A 82.8mm bore x 82.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 747.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/60 ZR 17 front tire and a 160/60 ZR 17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x320mm discs 4 piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Paioli Racing inverted fork,adjustable preload, rebound and compression damping while the rear was equipped with a Paioli monoshock, adjustable spring preload, rebound and compression damping. The 750 Ghost Strike was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 412.26 pounds (187.0 Kg).

The 1996 MY Laverda 650 Ghost sports an air/oil-cooled, four-stroke, 668cc, parallel twin cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission, that can produce 70 horsepower and 60 Nm of torque. This gritty machine offers supersport-like performance, combined to the more comfortable riding position of a naked roadster. In addition, it comes with a high-end suspension system, composed of an inverted 41 mm front fork and a rear monoshock with adjustable spring preload, rebound and compression dampening.

The 1997 MY Laverda 650 Ghost Legend is a more aggressive machine, as opposed to the base Ghost. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 668cc, parallel twin cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmisison, that can produce 70 horsepower and 60 Nm of torque.

Unlike the base model, it comes with an exclusive black paint scheme, with orange coating on the frame, and orange decals on the fuel tank. In addition, it has black-finished, cast-aluminum, three-spoked wheels, which lower its unsprung weight and makes for a more maneuverable machine.

The 1999 MY Laverda 750 Ghost Strike is a naked roadster, based on the 750 sportster, but with the added benefit of a more comfortable riding position that is usually found on a naked machine. At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 748cc, parallel twin cylinder engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce 85 horsepower and 75 Nm of torque.

In addition, it comes standard with a Paioli Racing upside-down fork, a Paioli monoshock in the rear, dual Brembo 320 mm discs with 4-piston calipers in the front and a single Brembo 245mm disc in the rear with 2-piston caliper.
