The Laverda 750 Formula was a liquid cooled, four stroke, parallel twin. DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Laverda between 2000 and 2002. Max torque was 59.75 ft/lbs (81.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 94.94 HP (70.8 KW) @ 9500 RPM.

A 83.8mm bore x 83.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 747.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/60 ZR17 front tire and a 160/60 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2x 320mm discs 4 piston calipers in the front and a single 245mm disc 2 piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Paioli Racing inverted adjustable preload, rebound and compression damping while the rear was equipped with a Paioli monoshock adjustable spring preload, rebound & compression damping. The 750 Formula was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 54.09 inches (1374 mm) long.

The 2000 MY Laverda 750 Formula sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 747cc, parallel twin powerhouse mated to a six-speed manual transmission that produces 95 horsepower and 82 Nm of torque. It comes standard with features such as the Paioli Racing inverted front fork, a Paioli monoshock in the rear with adjustable spring preload, rebound and compression damping, dual, 320 mm front disc brakes and a single 245 mm one in the rear.

Standard features include a Paioli Racing upside-down cartridge fork, a Paioli adjustable monoshock as a rear suspension, fully-floating Brembo racing brakes and lightweight Marchesini wheels.

It boasts a polished aluminum frame, that is both lightweight and rigid enough to allow it to compete with all the other 750-class sportbikes available on the market, such as the Ducati 748.
