The 1974 MY Laverda 750 SF2 has received upgrades, which increase performance, comfort, and desirability, among Laverda fans and not only. The most important upgrade can be immediately seen in it's front braking system, where the dual 230mm drums found on its forefather were replaced by dual 280 mm discs, making for a more safe but also more performance-oriented machine. In addition, a dual seat was standard, and smaller changes have been made to the headlight and taillight.

At its heart lies an air-cooled, four-stroke, 744cc, parallel twin cylinder powerplant paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce 65 horsepower at 7000 rpm.
