The bike has a gears transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 - ZR 17 (58 W) front tire and a 190/55 - ZR 17 (75 W) rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 310 mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 210 mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a upside-down telescopic hydraulic fork with external and separated adjustment of rebound and compression damping and of spring preload while the rear was equipped with a progressive, single shock absorber with rebound and compression (High speed/Low speed) damping and spring preload adjustment. The Brutale 989 RR was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 55.51 inches (1410 mm) long.

The 2011 MY MV Agusta Brutale 989 RR sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 983cc, in-line four cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce 141 horsepower and 104 Nm of torque. It boasts a race-derived suspension package, formed by a 50mm Marzocchi inverted front fork and a Sachs progressive single shock absorber in the rear. Other features such as the Brembo brakes make for a safer bike, as well as increase performance while on the track.

It sports a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 982cc, in-line four cylinder powerplant paired to a six-speed manual transmission and can produce 142 horsepower and 104 Nm of torque.

It has also been fitted with new Brembo racing brakes, the 50mm Marzocchi inverted fork have also been improved to improve maneuverability, the catalyzers have been also rezized, and the decals and color schemes have been redesigned, for an end product that is both suited for every-day use as well as a track Sunday.
