The MV Agusta F4 RR was a in-line four, four-stroke sport motorcycle produced between 2004 and 2018. It could reach a top speed of 185 mph (297 km/h). Max torque was 81.87 ft/lbs (111.0 Nm) @ 9600 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 196.73 HP (146.7 KW) @ 13600 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled in-line four, four-stroke. A 79.0mm bore x 50.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 998.0 cubic centimeters. The engine featured a 13.4:1 compression ratio. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission. The final drive was via chain. Power was moderated via the wet, multi-disc with back torque limiting device and brembo radial pump/lever assembly.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-zr17 front tire and a 200/55-zr17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. abs. floating disc. brembo gp radial-type, single-piece with 4 pistons. in the front and a single disc. abs, brembo four-piston. in the rear. The front suspension was a öhlins ec nix hydraulic “upside down” front forks with tin superficial treatment. completely adjustable electronically controlled compression and rebound damping with manual, spring preload while the rear was equiped with a progressive, single shock absorber öhlins ttx. fully adjustable hydraulic electronically controlled compression and rebound damping with manual, spring preload. The F4 RR was fitted with a 4.49 Gallon (17.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 418.88 pounds (190.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 56.3 inches (1430 mm) long.

Unlike its F4 1000 S sibling, the 2004 MY MV Agusta F4 1000 Tamburini has the latest in technology and parts developed by the Italian brand, which add up to one of the most powerful, agile, and maneuverable machines ever to be produces by Gusta, but with an equally high price tag.

At its heart lies a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 998cc, transverse four cylinder engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a whopping 173 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque, making this the most sought after Agusta up to date.


2004 MV Agusta F4 1000 S[edit | edit source]

The F4 family has been enriched with a big-bore machine, in the embodiment of the 2004 MY MV Agusta F4 1000 S. It sports a new, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 998cc, transverse four cylinder engine, which can produce an impressive 166 horsepower and 109 Nm of torque. It's chassis is based on the F4 750 one, with small alterations made to accommodate the bigger displacement of the its newly designed engine.

Also, the bodywork has been designed by Massimo Tamburini, the designer behind most of the Ducati's and Bimota of the same model year. Unlike the other models from the same series, the F4 1000 has a new logo on the airbox back, a tank guard with the F4 1000 logo, an instrumentation panel with a white background tachometer and the model logo, a saddle in blue racing colors and an F4 1000 plate on the steering head.

The 2005 MY MV Agusta F4 1000 Tamburini, as the name suggests, has been designed by legendary motorcycle design engineer Massimo Tamburini, and has been launched as a limited edition machine which not only bears his signature in its design, but has been fitted with the latest race-inspired technologies and materials that the engineers from the House of Varese have developed.

Features such as the titanium nitride treated 50mm Marzocchi forks, the Nissin Racing single block disc brakes, the Marchesini wheels which were inspired from Grand Prix machines, and a Magnesium sing arm make for one of the most powerful and maneuverable machines from Gusto up to date.

The MV Agusta F4 Mamba is a limited edition sport bike which will be made in just 300 units. The bike's furious acceleration was compared to the fast attack of the African venomous snake nicknamed the Black Mamba. Each model in the series comes with a black snake painted on the fuel tank.

The 2007 MY F4 R312 is based on the F4 1000, and the 312 suffix stands for its claimed top speed of 312 kph. The 2008 MY MV Agusta F4 R312 is the fastest production motorcycle from the House of Schiranna up to date, with a top speed of 312 kph, thus the name. Created as a replacement for the F4 1000 R, it truly does not disappoint. Its liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 998cc, transverse four cylinder engine can produce an impressive 183 horsepower and 115 Nm of torque.

In addition, all of its other internal components are derived straight from the race track, such as the Brembo radial brake calipers and the Brembo 320 mm aluminum brake discs with aluminum flanges, the 50 mm Marzocchi upside-down fork with the RAC technology, the Y-spoked, forged aluminum Brembo wheels, the Engine Brake System (EBS), and the titanium intake valves, all of which ensure it's podium spot among machines in its class.
