The MZ 1000 SF was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin cylinder Naked motorcycle produced by MZ between 2005 and 2006. Max torque was 72.28 ft/lbs (98.0 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 116.94 HP (87.2 KW) @ 8000 RPM.

The engine was a liquid cooled liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin cylinder. A 96.5mm bore x 96.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 999.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 180/55 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via dual 320mm discs, 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 240mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a Marzocchi upside-down fork while the rear was equipped with a Sachs monoshock. The 1000 SF was fitted with a 5.28 Gallon (20.00 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 56.89 inches (1445 mm) long.
2006 MZ 1000 SF[edit | edit source]
The 2006 MY MZ 1000 SF has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 996cc, parallel twin cylinder powerhouse paired to a six-speed manual transmission, and can produce a claimed 117 horsepower and 98 Nm of torque.
This liter-class naked machine boasts a gritty overall performance, as well as superior maneuverability, thanks to the fully-adjustable Marzocchi upside-down front fork and the Sachs monoshock in the rear. Safety and improved performance is ensured by the Nissin braking system with dual 320mm discs in the front with 4-piston calipers, while a wide and comfortable seat ensures the rider can spend more time behind the bars.
