The MZ 660 Skorpion Sport was a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 5 valve Sport touring motorcycle produced by MZ in 1996. Max torque was 42.04 ft/lbs (57.0 Nm) @ 5250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 48.01 HP (35.8 KW) @ 6250 RPM.

A 99.8mm bore x 99.8mm stroke result in a displacement of just 659.0 cubic centimeters.

The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 110/70-17 front tire and a 150/60-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single 316mm disc, 4-piston caliper in the front and a single 240mm disc, 2-piston caliper in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.

The 1996 MY MZ 660 Skorpion Sport has, at its heart, a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, 660cc, single cylinder powerhouse paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and can produce 58 horsepower and 57 Nm of torque. This machine mainly addresses those riders who want more performance out of their machine, but also enjoy the occasional long haul between cities.

Standard features include cast-aluminum wheels, a telescopic front fork, an adjustable monoshock as a rear suspension, front and rear disc brakes, a small, fork-mounted fairing with a windscreen, a dual seat and improved ergonomics.
