The Maico GME250 (reduced effect) was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Maico between 1984 and 1986. It could reach a top speed of 62 mph (100 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 16.63 HP (12.4 KW) @ 5400 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 67.0mm bore x 70.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 247.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a membrane.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.00-21 front tire and a 4.10-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake in the rear. The GME250 (reduced effect) was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank.
