Yet another high-profile celebrity Harley rider of the 1980s. Screen actor Rourke spoke of his fascination with Harley-Davidson: 'It's a personal thing that can't be described. It's part of you.' Not that Hollywood Harleys were a new idea: in the 1930s and '40s, stars like Clark Gable, Robert Young and Tyrone Power were all happy to be photographed astride big V-twins. On the other hand, the Harley as a celebrity fashion accessory may have gone a little too far, for it's been said that in Hollywood, Harley-Davidsons are just like a certain part of the human anatomy - everyone had one.
