NCR-848 motor has titanium connecting rods carved out of billet, high compression forged pistons with single piston ring, titanium valves, ported heads, lightened gearbox, balanced crankshaft, custom wet-type slipper clutch by STM for NCR, full racing aluminum radiator and oil cooler - relocated to accept full range of offsets of the front suspension, all fasteners in titanium.
Ignition NCR Corse-EFI, EFI Euro 1, NCR Racing Harness with interface with AMI MXL PISTA display. NCR-EFI system accepts full mapping capabilities along with Lambda interface for closed loop mapping control.
Transmission 6 Speed
Suspension Front: Showa original OEM fork with Öhlins-NCR internal damping systems. NCR fork bottoms from billet with 100 mm spacing. Triple clamps made from AL 7075 with adjustable offset from 28 to 36 mm in 1 mm increments.

Stopping was achieved via 2x 300 mm WAVE Braking-NCR, radial Brembo Racing monoblock (100mm version) with billet NCR fork bottoms. in the front and a Single 200 mm WAVE Braking-NCR, Brembo Racng 2 piston. in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa original OEM fork with Öhlins-NCR internal damping systems. NCR fork bottoms from billet with 100 mm spacing. Triple clamps made from AL 7075 with adjustable offset from 28 to 36 mm in 1 mm increments. while the rear was equipped with a Öhlins TTX tuned by NCR. The bike weighed just 155 Kg (341 lbs).

For those who aren’t happy with their stock Ducati 848’s performance, Nepoti and Caracchi Racing (NCR) are now offering some special parts which will boost power, performance and handling. These include titanium valves, titanium con-rods, Showa USD fork with heavily reworked internals, fully adjustable Öhlins rear shock, 300mm brakes discs (at the front) with Brembo monoblock calipers and an all-new engine management system.

A stock Ducati 848 weighs 168kg, and has 134bhp on tap. The full-blown NCR Ducati 848 weighs in at 155 kilos dry, and packs 145bhp at 12,500rpm and 118Nm of torque at 10,000rpm. Of course, at around US$61,000 it’s also a bit more expensive The NCR 848 is the result of a collaboration Ducati North America. This year, NCR was the official factory team of Dcati North America to compete in the PARTS CANADA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP in the THUNDER Class. The team had two NCR 848's that were developed specifically to develop the full catalog of parts for this exciting new bike. The bikes were ridden by NCR Factory rider Valter Bartolini and Canadian Andrew Nelson.
