The Norton 961 SF MKII was a Parallel Twin, air cooled Road motorcycle produced by Norton in 2016. Max torque was 65.65 ft/lbs (89.0 Nm) @ 5200 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 80.06 HP (59.7 KW) @ 6500 RPM.

A 88.9mm bore x 88.9mm stroke result in a displacement of just 961.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-Speed constant mesh transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet Multi-plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-17 front tire and a 180/55-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double disc Brembo 320 mm in the front and a Single disc Brembo 220 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a 43mm Ohlins USD - adjustable preload, compression & rebound damping while the rear was equipped with a Ohlins twin shocks with remote reservoir - adjustable ride height, preload, rebound & compression. The wheelbase was 55.91 inches (1420 mm) long.

The 2017 Commando 961 SF was built after the successful launch of the sport. It has upside down forks and radial brake callipers with a carbon fibre front, mud guard, rear number plate hanger and chain gaurd.
