The OSSA 500 Yankee was a twin, two-stroke standard produced by OSSA in 1978. It could reach a top speed of 115 mph (185 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 56.73 HP (42.3 KW) @ 7500 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled twin, two-stroke. A 72.0mm bore x 60.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 488.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a port control.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.25-19 front tire and a 4.00-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The 500 Yankee was fitted with a 4.76 Gallon (18.00 Liters) fuel tank.
