The bike has a 5-speed, manual transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-disc, manual.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90-21 front tire and a 120/80-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via disc in the front and a disc in the rear. The front suspension was a Paioli telescopic fork while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The wheelbase was 52.4 inches (1331 mm) long.

The 1998 MY Rieju Motors SMX 125 sports an air-cooled, four-stroke, 125cc, single cylinder engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission, and produces 15 horsepower and 10 Nm of torque.
