The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, parallel twin, DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder.. The engine featured a 10.5:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit | edit source]

Power was moderated via the Wet multiple plates, coil spring.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.60S-18 4PR front tire and a 4.10S-18 4PR rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single disc in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Air assisted telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Dual shocks, preload adjustable. The GSX400E was fitted with a 16 Liters / 4.2 US gal / 3.5 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 175 kg / 386 lbs. The wheelbase was 1415 mm / 55,7 in long.
