The Suzuki RG125F was a single cylinder, two-stroke Classic motorcycle produced by Suzuki between 1979 and 1993. It could reach a top speed of 99 mph (160 km/h). Max torque was 15.49 ft/lbs (21.0 Nm) @ 11000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 32.32 HP (24.1 KW) @ 11250 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a liquid cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 56.0mm bore x 50.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 124.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a membrane & power valve.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multi-plate type.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 110/80-17 52s front tire and a 120/80-17 61s rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a 39mm usd forks while the rear was equipped with a monoshock. The RG125F was fitted with a 3.7 Gallon (14.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 271.17 pounds (123.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 53.35 inches (1355 mm) long.
1979 Suzuki RG 125[edit | edit source]
The Suzuki RG 125 was launched 1978, simultanously with RG 185, formerly knows as GT 125 and GT 185 with new paint jobs. Neverthelsess, the RG 125 was still sold in some countries with its old name, GT 125. In some countries the model was known as X4. The RG 125 didn't have the Ram-Air cylinder head of the older GT 125.
