The Suzuki RM400C was a single cylinder, two-stroke standard produced by Suzuki in 1978. It could reach a top speed of 92 mph (148 km/h). Max torque was 3.54 ft/lbs (4.8 Nm) @ 6000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 42.11 HP (31.4 KW) @ 6500 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 80.0mm bore x 80.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 402.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet multiplate type.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake). full floating rear brake design in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic coil spring air oil infinately adjustable damping while the rear was equipped with a suzuki tru-trac twin shocks gas/oil damping aluminum swinging arm.
