The Suzuki RM500 was a Air-cooled, Single Cylinder, 2-stroke Trial motorcycle produced by Suzuki in 1983. It replaced the RM465 until eventually the open class ran out of steam.

Engine[edit]

A 88.4mm bore x 88.4mm stroke result in a displacement of just 492.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit]

The bike has a 4 Speed transmission.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a 100/80-21 4PR front tire and a 140/80-18 4PR rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Drum in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Air, Oil Damped, Leading Axle, Fully Adjustable Compression Damping while the rear was equipped with a Full Floater, Gas/oil Shock. The wheelbase was 58.11 inches (1476 mm) long.
