The Suzuki VL 125LC INTRUDER was a Four stroke, V-Twin, SOHC Cruiser motorcycle produced by Suzuki in 1999. Max torque was 6.64 ft/lbs (9.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 13.28 HP (9.9 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

The engine was a Air cooled cooled Four stroke, 65° V-Twin, SOHC. The engine featured a 10.3:1 compression ratio.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 90/90 -18 front tire and a 130/90 -15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 275 mm Discs in the front and a Single 130 mm drum, internal expanding in the rear. The front suspension was a Conventional, oil damped, coil-sprung telescopic while the rear was equipped with a Twin shock absorber, adjustable spring preload. The VL125LC Intruder was fitted with a 12 Liters / 3.2 US gal / 2.6 Imp gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 140 kg / 309 lbs. The wheelbase was 1520 mm / 59.8 in long.
1999 - 2016 Suzuki VL 125LC INTRUDER[edit | edit source]
Coming in at a meagre 145kgs dry, the bike is perfect for the beginning rider. Reversing out of my garage was easy. The bike is a breeze to manoeuvre around parking lots and traffic queues. Practising this bike as slow speed mistakes or loss of balance can be saved without dislocating a hip or dropping the bike. The low seat height of 685mm gives learners real confidence in this regard as well. As far particularly easy on this bike. The cone weave and obstacle swerve proved a bit more challenging but it’s generally well suited to the test.
