The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, 45° V-Twin, 4 valves per cylinder, SOHC. The engine featured a 9.4:1 compression ratio.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 150/80-16 front tire and a 180/70-15 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 300 mm disc, 2 piston caliper in the front and a Drum, 180 mm, internal expanding in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Single shock, adjustable preload. The VL800LC Intruder Volusia SE was fitted with a 16 L / 4.2 US gal / 3.5 Imp gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1645 mm / 64.8 in long.
