The Triumph THRUXTON 1200 was a Four stroke, parallel twin, SOHC, liquid cooled Adventure motorcycle produced by Triumph in 2016. Max torque was 83.35 ft/lbs (113.0 Nm) @ 4950 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 96.02 HP (71.6 KW) @ 6750 RPM.

A 96.5mm bore x 96.5mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1200.0 cubic centimeters.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi plate.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70 ZR17 front tire and a 160/60 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 310 mm in the front and a Single disc 220 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Kayaba 41 mm cartridge forks while the rear was equipped with a Kayaba twin shocks. The wheelbase was 55.71 inches (1415 mm) long.

2016 Triumph THRUXTON 1200[edit | edit source]

The new incarnation certainly has big shoes to fill considering the fame and glory associated with the Thruxton name from back in the ’60s and ’70s, a fact not lost on the designers.
