The Triumph TIGER 800 XC was a Liquid­-cooled, 12 valve, DOHC, in-­line 3­-cylinder Touring motorcycle produced by Triumph in 2016. Max torque was 58.27 ft/lbs (79.0 Nm) @ 7850 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 94.94 HP (70.8 KW) @ 9250 RPM. It could reach a top speed of 196.3 km/h / 122 mph.

Engine[edit]

The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Four stroke, transverse three cylinder, DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder.. The engine featured a 12.0:1 compression ratio.

Drive[edit]

Power was moderated via the Wet, multi-plate.

Chassis[edit]

It came with a 90/90 ZR21 front tire and a 150/70 ZR17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via 2 x 308mm floating discs, Nissin 2-piston floating caliber (Switchable ABS available), Nissin front brake master cylinder, 14mm diameter in the front and a Single 255mm disc, Nissin single-piston floating caliber (Switchable ABS available) in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa 45mm upside down forks while the rear was equipped with a Showa monoshock with remote oil reservoir, hydraulically adjustable preload, rebound damping adjustment. The Tiger 800XC was fitted with a 18.9 Liters / 5.0 US gal / 4.2 Imp gal fuel tank. The wheelbase was 1530 mm / 60.2" long.


2016 Triumph TIGER 800 XC[edit]

Reintroduced for the 2016 model year, the Tiger 800 XC is almost the same with the 2015 model, but with a few changes and improvements. WP replaces the Showa suspension from 2014 and new for 2016, the XC has redesigned cowls to deflect hot air from the radiator away from the rider.
