The engine was a air cooled air-cooled, four-stroke, opposed twin cylinder, OHV, 2 valves per cylinder. A 78.7mm bore x 78.7mm stroke result in a displacement of just 749.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a overhead valves (ohv).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a chain transmission. Power was moderated via the dry, double-disc.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a Duro HF-308, 4.0×19 front tire and a Duro HF-308, 4.0×19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via full floating disc, Brembo in the front and a mechanical drum in the rear. The front suspension was a leading link with Sachs hydraulic shock absorbers while the rear was equipped with a dual, adjustable Sachs shocks. The Red October was fitted with a 1.32 Gallon (5.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 716.5 pounds (325.0 Kg).

The 2009 MY Ural Red October is a limited edition machine, created to celebrate two events, the 25th anniversary of the novel "The Hunt for the Red October" and the 92nd anniversary of the Red October Revolution, and boasts a special red paint scheme, not usually associated with classic motorcycles.
At its heart lies an air-cooled, four-stroke, 749cc, opposed twin cylinder powerhouse paired to a four-speed manual transmission with reverse, and can reach a maximum power output of 41 horsepower and 57 Nm of torque.
