The Yamaha FZR 750R GENESIS was a Four stroke, transverse four cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1988. Max torque was 53.11 ft/lbs (72.0 Nm) @ 8250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 105.94 HP (79.0 KW) @ 10500 RPM.

A 68.6mm bore x 68.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 749.0 cubic centimeters.
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 6-Speed transmission. Power was moderated via the Wet multi-discs.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 120/70-VR17 front tire and a 160/60-VR18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 320 mm in the front and a Single disc 267 mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Kayaba forks 130 mm while the rear was equipped with a Monoshock, single Kayaba damper 30 mm.
1988 Yamaha FZR 750R GENESIS[edit | edit source]
In 1987 Yamaha introduce the new FZR. The chassis and engine, come together in a technical harmony and balance the sport hasn`t seen since the Norton featherbed. Yamaha use of five valve per cylincder head on the FZR bikes.
