The Yamaha RX125 was a single cylinder, two-stroke Road motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1979. Max torque was 9.81 ft/lbs (13.3 Nm) @ 7000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 12.74 HP (9.5 KW) @ 7000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, two-stroke. A 56.0mm bore x 50.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 125.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a port control.

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3/0-18 front tire and a 3/0-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a swing arm twin shocks. The RX125 was fitted with a 2.64 Gallon (10.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 211.64 pounds (96.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 48.82 inches (1240 mm) long.
