The Yamaha RZ 250R was a Liquid Cooled, Two Stroke, Parallel Twin Cylinder Sport Bike motorcycle produced by Yamaha in 1984. Max torque was 22.13 ft/lbs (30.0 Nm) @ 8000 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 35.0 HP (26.1 KW) @ 8000 RPM. The standard two stroke RZ 250R makes 35 HP but, with it's dry weight of just 139 kg; it gets along very well and will reach around 170 kph plus. These have always been very popular bikes for racing and modification so there are plenty of after market parts for extra power, better handling and cosmetic upgrades.

The engine was a Liquid cooled cooled Two stroke, parallel twin. The engine featured a 6.2 :1 compression ratio.
Drive[edit | edit source]
Power was moderated via the Wet multi-plate.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 3.00-18 front tire and a 3.50-18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Single 267mm disc in the front and a Drum in the rear. The front suspension was a Telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a Monocross. The RZ250R was fitted with a 16.5 Liters / 4.3 US gal fuel tank. The bike weighed just 139 kg / 306.4 lbs.
