The Yamaha Tricker was a single cylinder, four-stroke Trial motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 2005 and 2015. It could reach a top speed of 71 mph (115 km/h). Max torque was 13.87 ft/lbs (18.8 Nm) @ 6250 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 18.64 HP (13.9 KW) @ 7500 RPM.
Engine[edit | edit source]
The engine was a air cooled single cylinder, four-stroke. A 74.0mm bore x 58.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 249.0 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a single overhead cams (sohc).
Drive[edit | edit source]
The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the wet, multiple disc.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 80/70-mc19 front tire and a 120/90-mc16 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via single disc in the front and a single disc in the rear. The front suspension was a telescopic forks while the rear was equipped with a swingarm. The Tricker was fitted with a 1.59 Gallon (6.00 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 260.15 pounds (118.0 Kg). The wheelbase was 52.36 inches (1330 mm) long.
2005 Yamaha Tricker[edit | edit source]
Power comes from an air-cooled, 249cc single-cylinder engine making a modest 19 hp at 7500rpm. With 35mm forks, single discs front and rear, plus narrow wire-spoked wheels, the spec sounds like a typically dull commuter bike's, but where the Tricker differs is in its style. The bars are wide, the diagonally mounted tank is tiny, and the skinny seat and wheels add to the look of a bike that would be as at home in the local skate park as in the high street.
