The Yamaha VMAX was a v4, four-stroke Cruiser motorcycle produced by Yamaha between 2009 and 2018. Max torque was 123.18 ft/lbs (167.0 Nm) @ 6500 RPM. Claimed horsepower was 195.79 HP (146.0 KW) @ 9000 RPM.

Engine[edit | edit source]

The engine was a liquid cooled v4, four-stroke. A 90.0mm bore x 66.0mm stroke result in a displacement of just 1671.6 cubic centimeters. Fuel was supplied via a double overhead cams/twin cam (dohc).

Drive[edit | edit source]

The bike has a 5-speed transmission. Power was moderated via the multiplate slipper clutch.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 120/70-r18 front tire and a 200/50-r18 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via double disc. six-piston calipers. radially mounted. in the front and a single disc. single-piston caliper. in the rear. The front suspension was a 52mm telescopic cartridge fork w/oxidized titanium coating. fully adjustable preload, compression and rebound while the rear was equipped with a single shock w/remote reservoir and remote adjustable for preload, compression and rebound. The VMAX was fitted with a 4.0 Gallon (15.14 Liters) fuel tank. The wheelbase was 66.93 inches (1700 mm) long.
