The Zündapp KS500 Kardan Sport was a two cylinder boxer, four-stroke standard produced by Zündapp between 1936 and 1939. It could reach a top speed of 84 mph (135 km/h). Claimed horsepower was 23.47 HP (17.5 KW) @ 5200 RPM.

The engine was a air cooled two cylinder boxer, four-stroke. A 66.0mm bore x 66.6mm stroke result in a displacement of just 498.0 cubic centimeters.

Chassis[edit | edit source]

It came with a 3.50-19 front tire and a 3.50-19 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via expanding brake (drum brake) in the front and a expanding brake (drum brake) in the rear. The KS500 Kardan Sport was fitted with a 3.3 Gallon (12.50 Liters) fuel tank. The bike weighed just 407.86 pounds (185.0 Kg).
