The bike has a Direct drive transmission. Power was moderated via the Clutchless.
Chassis[edit | edit source]
It came with a 100/90-19 front tire and a 130/80-17 rear tire. Stopping was achieved via Double discs 350mm in the front and a Single disc 240mm in the rear. The front suspension was a Showa 41 mm inverted cartridge forks while the rear was equipped with a Showa 40 mm piston, piggy-back reservoir shock with adjustable spring preload. The wheelbase was 56.18 inches (1427 mm) long.

The 2016 Zero DS ZF9.8 is a electric bike, sold from 2016.Zero Motorcycles designed the Z-Force motor from the ground up to be compact, efficient and powerful. It delivers exhilarating acceleration to a top speed of 98 mph on the Zero DS. Completely air-cooled, the motor provides a fantastic riding experience, minus the need for any regular maintenance. When slowing down, the motor generates electricity that is channeled back into the power pack to help extend ride times.
