old/new bikes

What happens to new bikes that do not sell? I can't believe all of them sell but all I see in dealers places are 2 or 3 years old tops.

I'm sure dealers keep lowering the price until they get rid of them. They can't afford to have their money tied up in old inventory. Sometimes, you can get a heck of a bargain on one of them!

Well, that's what I keep looking for :)

A good friend of a good friend of mine just found a '76 or so Suzuki RM 370 brand new in a crate for 700 bucks. I've seen other vintage bikes for sale new in crate as well. I imagine some inventory probably just gets "lost or stolen", hidden away for somebody to someday stumble across 30 years from now...

Be patient and keep looking - good things come to those who wait. :)

When the laws in the UK changed about 20 years ago so that anyone learning was restricted to a 125 from a 250 there was a large amount of 250s on the market that no one no longer wanted and for quite a few years after they where being offered at very cheap prices just so dealers could offload the stock
