When you say, "it slips out of second gear into neutral, but this is typical for Yamahas". Are you assuming that the buyer should just realize this and live with it? LMAO! Sorry, I don't and I won't! Good luck, and see ya' in the funny papers Coop'.

The KE-175 was equipped with oil injection, so providing that's working properly you shouldn't need to mix fuel and oil - but if there is any doubt...

20:1 is okay, but with new premix oils you can drop it down some, 24:1 or even down as low as 35:1. If you go with ultra high performance synthetic oils, perhaps 50:1 - but that's too low for my thinking. Try it at 24:1, if you get too much smoke of the plug fouls try a leaner mixture.

Why, yes I have tried them, back in the day when I was riding my Yamaha IT-400 competitively in Enduros I always ran a ratio of 32:1, we didn't have "super pre-mix" oils back then, I used Torco SI-7 (now GP-7) in this ratio. Didn't smoke too much and the top end lasted a long time. After the riding season ended I'd tear the top end down, not too much carbon and the rings were still in pretty good shape.

So, yes, it worked for me.

Well the fuel /oil mixture or i mean ratio would be around 20:1 if by using this ratio you get smoke then check the carborator and get it cleaned.

I wouldn't go any lower than a 20:1, I usually do a 24:1 and it works. Just kind of have to see what works best for your personal bike I guess..

Generally it is 20:1 for Kawasaki bikes.
