Default 2001 Suzuki Marauder Engine

Have obtained an old bike from family and the son-in-law blew the engine. Can't seem to find a used engine to put in it. Is a Suzuki 250cc the only engine that can be used or can a 250cc engine from a Rebel be interchanged. As you can see - I am not a machanic!:)

With a cutting torch and welder all things are possible...but probably not practical. There are multiple systems that would have to work together that were not manufactured to work together. You will prolly get more into it than what it's worth - too many good used bikes on the market for all that.
