Aprilia Habana Lights problem?

My wife's 49cc Aprilia Habana seems to have an issue with the lights, she went over a speed bump and the lights died (thinking maybe short circuit) we have checked and replaced the fuses as well as the bulbs and the lights still won't switch on - battery is fine and turns over without any problems, indicators are fine as is the break light only thing is that the main lights just don't work - any suggestions

We need all of that info to give an informed answer.Sometimes the year can make a difference.Purchase a shop manual.http://www.motocom.com/motorcycles/It's not a popular machine.If you were to get find someone to work on it, they would need the manual.Open the headlight switch (handlebar switch) to see what color wires power the head light.Check for power going to the switch.Then check for power leaving the switch.Check for power at the switch's connector.

Don't worry about giving make, model, cc size, mother's maiden name. That other guy is being anal. You gave enough info. It's a headlight, not something model specific.It sounds like you might have lost a ground in your headlight. I would open the headlight up and follow the ground wire to see if it came loose anywhere. Your power wire could have also come loose, but you would run the chances of seeing sparks with that, so if you didn't, it was probably the ground.Your ground wire is probably black or green. Your"hot"wire is probably red, and your high beam wire is probably white. These may vary, but that is usually what they are.
