whats the noise coming from my aprilia sr50r?

when i ride my sr, i can here a very loud buzzing noise. at 1st it sounded like the mudguard was vibrating so i stripped that off but it is still pretty loud. the performance of the bike hasn't changed so its not going to be engine problems. perhaps a hole in the exhaust?
