Default What are the rules reguarding carrying a gun when riding a motorcycle?

First off I'm in Illinois. I know depending on state you have to keep the gun in the trunk or glove box with a trigger lock and no ammo and things like that. If I were going to go to a shooting range and was goign to ride my motorcycle is there a legal way to transport the gun?

weld it to the front of your motorcycle and have a cable attached to the trigger so when you pull a lever it shoots the gun. then pretend youre in some racing shooting video game on the way to the gun range

I don't know the laws for that state, but I would not have any ammo with me, the gun in a lock case with a trigger lock on it and the hand gun torn down as much as possible. if you got stopped and searched you would be showing good smarts to that officer... you can by ammo at the range you know...
